This week we’re getting back to more basics. I go over a classical Savate footwork staple, the cross step. I give you guys the two core variations, the main techniques they’re tied to, and lastly how you can easily train these and transition into distance bridging jump kicks. check it out!

Usually on Monday’s but this week we’re on Friday. Do you skill isolate when you train? You probably should, this time I go over a very simple concept and how you can apply it in your shadowboxing. But the lesson goes deeper, this kind of focused skill building can be applied to almost an form of technical drilling. Check it out!

More foundational footwork. This simple step when paired with our kicks can cover a significant amount of distance very quickly. These little steps make a big difference and filling that gap can be one of our biggest challenges. Short and sweet this week, check it out.

Sharpening our defensive skills in this weeks tutorial. I give you guys 3 different options when it comes to dealing with leg kicks. None of these involve checking or taking the kick and firing back, so each features an approach you might not be using yet. Learn to evade and intercept, check it out.

A quick combination today, a neat little trick you can work off the high kick, coming around with the hook kick from the opposite leg for a sneaky high line double attack. Check it out.

Getting into more of the good stuff when it comes to offensive footwork. This tutorial details a few ways off both punches and kicks to hide your footwork with strikes and take dominant angles. It covers core fundamentals you can add to your game or educate your beginners with. Movement is a weapon and footwork win’s fights. Check it out!

Working our angles today, this time I’m giving you guys a quick lead side only combination. A couple strikes to get you in range, set up your angle so you can land a nasty pair of body shots. We’ve got angles and half beat timing, check it out.

This time it’s all about footwork. Defensive footwork has almost always been my primary tool but training it requires some mindful practice. This video goes over some good fundamental habits to build while giving you a couple steps to get out of a jam. Check it out!

I’ve picked up some unique and interesting tricks and I learned about the boxing side of Savate, this is a good example of the combination type we’d frequently work. Savate boxing is interesting in how it works in connection with the kicks. Plus it has some unusual tricks you can catch people with.

First short of the new year. Going more fundamental with 3 quick options you can use to mix up your rear leg kicks. Though this is thrown in isolation I’d urge you to preface the low kick with a combination or angles and footwork. Let this serve as an example on how to end combinations.

Happy new year everyone. 2023 was quite the ride but I’m still here and I have a great tutorial for you guys. Thanks to everyone who has shared and supported me, heres to an awesome 2024.

Been sick for most of this week with a nasty stomach virus but regardless I’m getting the content out there. A great high volume sequence you can use to push the pace and push your cardio. Savate as a whole emphasizes longer combinations and higher volume. So if you wanna keep the pressure on and push the pace, this is a great way to start.
